Thank you fot the link, melly ! I really enjoy it. I tried the quizz... easy ! However, I noticed a mistake : they said that, at her trial, Marie-Antoinette was accused of adultery. Where did they find this ? She never was ! It is even one of the arguments those who think Fersen was not her lover insist on. His name was mention, when speaking about Varennes, and the accusator simply dropped the subject. Wouln't it be a golden occasion to accuse her of adultery, should Fersen be her lover ?
So, I am positive, and I have "le procès de Marie-Antoinette", présenté et commenté par Gérard Walter just right here at hand : Marie-Antoinette at her trial was not accused of adultery.

I think she was accused of participating in orgies but Fersen was not mentioned except in regards to Varennes.

Yes Marie-Antoinette was shown of treason, corruption and inceste towards her son, but not of adultery I confirm.

Not even orgies. She was accused of spending money for "disordered pleasures". Could be anything. She was accused of plotting with "committees", which she replied that those committees were but fictions. Actually, the main accusions fell on politics, sending money to her brother, helping the Austrians... there was also extravagancy, in a rather political view too (bloodsucker of France) and, at least, incest, also a political weapon (not for pleasure, but for submitting her son, like Agrippina).
Finally, the jury had to deliberate on treason only.

She was sentenced for treason only, definitely.

I believe that the term "origies" was indeed evoked by Fouquier-Tinville, to refer to the banquet that there was in Versailles in the honor of the King and the Queen, by the regiment of Flandre in 1789.
They reproached to Marie-Antoinette this "orgy" anti-revolutionist, in more of to have trampled the tricolour rosette. But this "orgy" was not an orgy of adultery.

I thought the word "orgy" was indeed used at one point. Yes, it was an orgy of antirevolutionary hatred!! It is interesting how they always tried to sexualize her supposed crimes.....

Eve éternelle qu'il faudra toujours craindre... This means that men are always afraid of women... Ah, I have the deepest hopes for the new generations, watching my students... but I am off topic here !

"tremenda" passive verbal adjective does only implicates an obligation. The subject (Eva) is passive, meaning that this obligation does not fall upon her. Others have to fear her. Should those others be mentioned, they would be with the agent dative.
There is nothing that grammatically implicates any "need" for Eva to be feared. Be sure I would never write such things ! For women do not need to be feared. They only need to exist as equals to men. That is pure logic, dear.
